International IT Committee: Highlights from the First Official Meeting
The International IT Committee (IITC) gathered on 12 and 13 November for its first official meeting since its formal establishment in June 2025.
20 members participated in the roundtable in person and 5 remotely (from Hong Kong, Tunisia and Monte Carlo), 10 roundtables were held in 12 sessions and 11 companies of the group participated: Fratelli Cosulich SpA, Express Global, TPG Express, Link Industries, Olive, Dragon Maritime, Comunico, GEOS, Fratelli Cosulich Adriatic, Catalano Shipping, GeneSYS Informatica and an external company: Progamma.
Participants included IT managers, process owners, cybersecurity specialists, software developers, project managers, and operational stakeholders from multiple regions. The two day session brought together representatives from across the Group with the goal of strengthening alignment on key strategic areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Project Management, and Process Automation.
1. Clearer rules for how projects start and run Many IT or digital projects begin because someone has a need, but the process is not always clear. The Committee agreed that from now on every project will have written objectives, a person in charge, and a clear plan of what needs to happen. This means fewer surprises, fewer delays, and better support for the people who use these tools every day.
2. Better communication between companies Different companies in the Group sometimes use different systems or follow different rules. The IITC will work to align these so that our tools become easier to understand and more consistent across offices and countries. This is especially important for cybersecurity and data protection, where common rules make everyone safer.
3. Automation that reduces manual work Several examples were presented. At TPG Express, for instance, an automated system now creates weight certificates for containers and sends them straight to accounting, eliminating around 300 manual invoices each month. In customs operations, e Global helps reduce repetitive tasks and improves tracking. These tools free up time for more important activities.
4. Using AI safely inside the Group The Committee discussed how artificial intelligence can help with small tasks such as drafting emails, checking documents, or preparing reports. However, it must be used safely. The Group will create rules explaining when and how AI can be used, protecting company and client information. Also, a private and secure AI environment is being evaluated so that sensitive information remains protected.
5. Improving the reliability of everyday tools The meeting also addressed how to ensure that essential services such as email, phone systems, and business applications remain available even when external providers have issues. This includes evaluating cloud solutions, backup servers, and stronger protection against phishing and suspicious emails.
So, what’s next? A shared roadmap is being prepared and will be communicated across the Group. The goal is simple: make our daily tools easier to use, reduce repetitive work, and make sure everyone works with the same rules and standards. The IITC will now consolidate the outputs into actionable guidelines to support the Group’s long term digital evolution. Updates will continue to be shared on in.cosulich.
