FC Marine Energy recently took part in the 12th edition of LNGCON, the International LNG Congress held in Barcelona from 9 to 11 March, bringing together key players from across the global LNG value chain to discuss the latest developments and challenges shaping the future of LNG, including innovation, regulatory frameworks, infrastructure and decarbonisation strategies.

The team was represented at the event by Guido Cardullo, Head of Marine Energy, Chicca Franchini, Head of New Fuels, and Emanuele Calcamuggi, Construction Site Manager from the Shipmanagement team, who engaged with industry peers and stakeholders from across the LNG ecosystem.

During the conference, Guido Cardullo joined the panel session “Improving LNG use in Marine Transport Operations” as a speaker, presenting a talk titled “EU and IMO regulations as catalysts for the adoption of LNG as marine fuel.” His contribution highlighted how evolving regulatory frameworks can accelerate the adoption of LNG as a cleaner marine fuel and support the maritime sector in its transition towards lower-emission solutions.

Participation in events such as LNGCON further strengthens FC Marine Energy’s presence within the international LNG community and reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting the development and adoption of alternative and lower-carbon fuels for the maritime sector.
