Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy achieved another major milestone in its shipbuilding program with the steel cutting of Carlotta Cosulich, a 7,999 DWT IMO Type II chemical bunker tanker, on 9 October 2025 at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard, China.

As the third unit in a series of four sister vessels, the steel cutting marks the official start of construction, when design transitions into physical reality. This milestone highlights our continued focus on building vessels that combine operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Designed to be methanol-ready, Carlotta Cosulich incorporates multiple features for next-generation fuel handling, including an integrated Nitrogen Generator System, Quick Connect/Disconnect Couplings, and dedicated transfer lines for smooth and secure bunkering operations.

The vessel’s MarineLINE®-coated cargo tanks will offer superior corrosion resistance and enable quicker turnaround between cargoes, enhancing both durability and flexibility across our fleet.

The steel cutting of Carlotta Cosulich reflects Fratelli Cosulich’s ongoing commitment to innovation and fleet readiness as we continue to invest in advanced technologies to serve the evolving needs of the global bunkering market.
