"We are pleased to announce that GDM Maritime Training and the Cappellini Nautical Institute have renewed their agreement for the next three years. This agreement represents a significant step in our ongoing collaboration aimed at supporting student training and guiding them on the most appropriate path after graduation", commented the new Principal, Professor Manuela Mariani.
Students will have access to the mandatory STCW IMO courses required for boarding at reserved rates. Additionally, an important Merit Award for the top student has been confirmed. GDM Maritime Training will also provide full assistance to students in the issuance of their seaman's book.
Specifically, we are pleased to inform that GDM Maritime Training will offer its support and expertise in the process of obtaining authorization, which will soon be initiated for the creation of the "TRAINING PATHWAY TO ACCESS THE PROFESSIONAL ROLE OF DECK AND ENGINE CADET" (formerly alignment module).
This new pathway is aimed at those who, despite initially choosing a training path not directly related to the maritime field, wish to pursue a career in the maritime sector. "Our strategy is based on creating a significant territorial synergy, with the goal of providing new opportunities for all those motivated to pursue a maritime career", commented Elena Di Tizio, CEO of GDM. "We are convinced that this renewed commitment between GDM and the Cappellini Institute will bring positive results for our students and for the entire Tuscan and national maritime community."
We will also organize workshops throughout the school year focused on energy transition and the broader topic of alternative fuels. Our students will need to enhance their current skills and anticipate new global scenarios, as we have the duty to convey the values of the sea through high-level training.
