C&C Transports S.r.l. is a big step forward for the Fratelli Cosulich Group in the steel industry's transportation. Established in 2022, this company is born from a union of forces, founded as a joint venture between the Ocean Team Group - led by the Cattaruzza family -, and Marlines S.r.l. (part of Fratelli Cosulich Group), the name itself refers to the cooperation between the two families.
At the heart of C&C Transports is a big barge named P7, with dimensions of 81x24 metres and a loading capacity of 5,500 tons. The barge is mainly employed to serve the needs of the steel mills located in San Giorgio di Nogaro , moving via sea the steel slabs discharged at Monfalcone from big vessels not suitable with the restrictions of the Porto Nogaro’s port. Each voyage of the barge is the equivalent of about 180 trucks which would be used to move the cargo from Monfalcone to Nogaro.
C&C created a new model, capable of dealing with the logistical problems caused by the morphology of the area, reducing the enviromental impact and providing a reliable service to the customers.
Fratelli Cosulich Group (Agency Tramp team and Marlines S.r.l.) and the Ocean Team Group working together, are making big changes in how steel is moved, taking care of the supply chain of the slabs from the discharge from the mother vessel till the delivery to the final receiver.
