Olive attended the WPAgency meetup, an event organized by the WordPress Meetup Genova, held on May 28th at the TWOW headquarters.

This group, created to foster ideas exchange among anyone involved with WordPress, dedicated an entire meeting to this new format.  WPAgency, a variant of the traditional WP4Me focused on sharing experiences of individual professionals, emphasizing the vision of a whole agency.

WordPress is the most widely used tool in the world for creating websites. Focusing on user-friendliness and standardizing processes for developers, it allows to speed up their work,  creating simple websites with limited and static functionality.  All at the expense of some customization.

Yesterday’s event was the perfect opportunity for our colleagues to introduce themselves, sharing their backgrounds, mission, and , overall, how they use Wordpress in their workflow.

Fun fact: they don’t.

Olive can count on a team who can write code without the help of tools like WordPress, going beyond standard websites. This allows the team to provide more advanced services that are usually the domain of software houses, such as intranets like in.cosulich, advanced database management, while maintaining a focus on graphics, aesthetics, and usability, typical of a creative agency.

From this unique position, a constructive discussion and Q&A session emerged with the audience at the meetup, highlighting all the advantages and potential disadvantages of one method over another.
