Augusto Cosulich, together with the Mayor of Izmir and the Mayor of Genoa, attended the "Rotte commerciali genovesi" Conference

On 18 September, our President Augusto Cosulich attended the Conference “Rotte Commerciali genovesi - Fortificazioni dal Mediterraneo al Mar Nero”.

The Conference took place at Palazzo Ducale, and was organized by the Municipality of Genoa together with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Italian Embassy in Ankara, UNESCO, the Republic of Turkey in Rome, and Old New Eternal.

Along with Mr. Augusto Cosulich, participating in his role of CEO of Arkas Italia, the event was attended by some of the most important personalities from Genoa and Turkey, including the Mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci and the Mayor of Izmir Tunç Soyer.

The occasion offered a significant opportunity to talk about current and potential trade routes between Genoa and Turkey. The city has always had a strong link with this Country, a relationship with historical roots, that continues to be extremely relevant today.

Many Genoese entrepreneurs conduct operations in Turkey, fostering relations between Genoa and Izmir, already connected since the time of the Maritime Republics, and providing the basis for a possible future twinning.
