On May 2, Lucia Cosulich, the second methanol-ready bunker vessel in this new series, was successfully launched at the Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard.

The ceremony brought together the project team, partners and stakeholders, marking the vessel’s transition from construction to water and highlighting the continued progress of the Fratelli Cosulich Group’s Marine Energy Unit in the development of alternative fuel solutions.

The launch was made even more meaningful by the presence of Ms. Lucia Cosulich as the vessel’s Godmother, who acknowledged the collective effort behind the project and its role in supporting the industry’s path towards net zero.

As the second of four sister methanol-ready IMO II vessels, Lucia Cosulich is part of a broader strategy aimed at building a flexible and future-ready fleet, capable of meeting both current and emerging fuel requirements.

Designed with methanol capability from the outset and equipped with advanced technical solutions, the vessel reflects a pragmatic approach to the energy transition, combining operational efficiency with readiness for alternative fuels.With Lucia Cosulich, the Group continues to strengthen its position in the marine energy sector, advancing its commitment to reliable and increasingly sustainable bunkering solutions.
