A new way to read the route: Navimeteo introduces Route Planner

Navimeteo continues to expand its tech portfolio of services available for its customers.  In the last week, it has introduced a new feature within its Weather Maps platform: the Route Planner, which makes it possible to create a route and check the expected weather conditions along the entire voyage.

Users can define their route directly within Navimeteo Weather Maps, access forecasting models from leading international meteorological centres and compare different scenarios to understand how conditions may change along the way.

The result is a more direct way to analyse a voyage before departure, with the freedom to compare forecasts and explore different weather scenarios independently.

A dedicated step-by-step tutorial is also available directly within Weather Maps, covering route creation, weather model selection and forecast analysis.

For the Navimeteo team, Route Planner is part of an ongoing effort to keep its tech tools close to the real needs of people working at sea.

Those needs continue to change, and Weather Maps is evolving with them. The new Route Planner adds another practical layer to Navimeteo’s forecasting expertise, giving users more ways to understand what they may encounter along their route and prepare accordingly.
