GeneSYS Informatica is proud to announce the acquisition of a 51% stake in NAVIMETEO, a company based in Chiavari (Italy) and internationally recognized for its specialized weather and oceanographic services for maritime operations. This acquisition marks a significant step in strengthening the Group’s digital portfolio and expanding the strategic synergies between technological innovation and maritime expertise.

Matteo Cosulich, Vice President and Head of Digital Activities of Fratelli Cosulich Group, declared:  “NAVIMETEO has been, from the very beginning, a meeting of shared vision. This acquisition comes in a particularly meaningful year for us – the 30th anniversary of our IT journey – and there could not be a more fitting milestone to celebrate it. We believe that what Gianfranco Meggiorin and Fabio Sola built, a NAVIMETEO’s unique expertise will allow us to build extraordinary synergies with what GeneSYS has represented for three decades: tailor-made solutions at the service of shipping and logistics. We also see great potential in strengthening the collaboration between NAVIMETEO and Argenton & Soci, as well as with our Yachting and Ship Management activities across the Group. We are extremely proud to welcome NAVIMETEO into the Cosulich family.”

Gianfranco Meggiorin, Founder and Managing Director of NAVIMETEO, declared:  “2026 will mark the beginning of a new course for Navimeteo, following a long and extraordinary 25-year journey. Navimeteo’s true asset—and its greatest strength—lies in its people: professionals who dedicate themselves every day to the meteorological safety of navigation, operating 24/7 across the Mediterranean and the world’s oceans. Experience and technology merge in a reality that represents international excellence, capable of earning the trust of some of the most important players in the maritime industry. We deeply feel this responsibility in an evolving and often complex meteorological scenario. Yet today, even in an increasingly technological universe, the most modern and powerful element remains two people talking to each other. Dialogue and shared analysis are what truly enable effective risk mitigation. For all these reasons, and driven by the ambition to see Navimeteo reach where it truly deserves to be, I am enthusiastic about being on board with Genesys and connected to the Cosulich Group. This opens new horizons, strengthening a passionate operational project that I have had the privilege to be part of since its launch—and on board of which I am proud to continue navigating alongside our extraordinary crew.”

Fabio Sola, Managing director of NAVIMETEO, declared: “I'm proud to have contributed to the growth of NAVIMETEO over the years and  happy to see the company become part of the Cosulich group, which will surely enhance its value and lead it to even greater success.”
