Inspiring the next generation in the maritime industry at “Donne sul ponte di comando – La Blue Economy”

We proudly took part in “Donne sul ponte di comando – La Blue Economy”, an important initiative promoted by Regione Liguria and held during the Orientamenti Festival, the region’s largest event dedicated to educational and career development.

The format, launched earlier this year on International Women’s Day, aims to actively promote female participation and inclusion in the blue economy.

During the event, several members of WISTA Italy met with students to discuss education and careers in the maritime sector. Through the stories of women who hold leadership roles in the industry, young participants were offered a broader perspective on the opportunities available within the maritime world — a sector rich in potential, innovation and ongoing transformation.

Our colleague Daniela Fadda, Catering Department Manager, joined the session and shared her experience as a woman in a key managerial role within the industry. Her presence underscored both the Group’s dedication to empowering young talents, and the need for role models in maritime careers.
